Automotive Trends and Tech – Four Car Add-ons Worth Investing In

Knowing cars inside and out is our job and our passion at Accurate Auto Body. We take pride in repairing your car and getting you back on the road after a fender bender. Our team is also your go-to resource for other car-related expertise.

If your recent collision was more extensive and it’s time to find a new car, here are four accessories worth considering as you shop for your next vehicle:

Anti-lock Brakes (ABS). While adding anti-lock brakes to your car can mean increased maintenance costs, the main advantage ABS brakes offer Colorado drivers is better stopping on ice and other slippery conditions. Having anti-lock brakes in your car often improves resale value and can lower your insurance costs as well.

Floor mats. While floor mats may not be the most exciting thing on the list, having good mats in Colorado is a must. Your floor mats protect the interior of your car from all the snow, dirt, magnesium chloride and salt that are part of driving during Colorado winters. Keep an eye on the condition of your mats as winter arrives and replace them as needed.

MP3 player interface. What’s the point of building an extensive library of songs on your iPod or other MP3 player if you can’t take them with you? Adding a stereo to your car that has an adaptor for your digital music has never been easier. Look for a stereo that comes with an integrated hook up for your MP3 player. The sound from older auxiliary input jacks offers an inferior listening experience.

Roadside Emergency Kit. As Denver’s best auto body repair shop, we are familiar with the unexpected accidents that can bring our clients in to visit us. Having a roadside emergency kit in your car is an important tool to manage any unforeseen driving mishaps that may come your way.

Here are the important components you should have in your kit:

  • Basic first-aid kit
  • Warning light or hazard triangle
  • Tire gauge
  • Jack and lug wrench
  • Spare fuses
  • Jumper cables
  • Flashlight
