Snowy Range: Just barely beyond the Colorado-Wyoming border, near Laramie, lies Snowy Range Ski and Recreational Area. With 5 lifts, 27 runs, 250 acres, a summit elevation of 10,000 feet, and 250 inches of snow per year, Snowy Range is perfect for all groups, ages, and abilities. It has a terrain park, tubing, snowshoeing, and ski lessons for anyone.
Snow King: Most of Wyoming’s best skiing lies around the town of Jackson, in the northwest part of the state, and the first of that area’s three great resorts is Snow King Mountain. Founded in 1936 as Wyoming’s first ski area, its slopes directly face Jackson below, giving it the nickname “The Town Hill.” 3 lifts, 2 terrain parks, 400 acres, and 150-inch annual snowfall make it a great and much cheaper alternative to its brothers down the road. Also check out its night skiing, snowshoeing, tubing, ice climbing, and warm-weather activities.
Jackson Hole: 2,500 acres of inbounds skiing, plus 3,000 acres of back-country skiing, plus 9 lifts, a gondola, and a tram, plus two terrain parks, plus 460-inch annual snowfall, equals one of the best ski resorts in North America. Jackson Hole Mountain Resort is the stuff of legends, and well worth the trip up there. With skiing, snowboarding, and every winter sport imaginable for all levels, plus great hotels, restaurants, bars, spas, and activities for the whole family, Jackson Hole awaits. You can even take direct flights there from Denver!
